Coca-Cola's Funua Flava Promotion Awards Winner Ksh.1Million

A celebration swept through Mombasa on Saturday, October 4, 2025, as Mariam Wakio Kidungwa was unveiled as the winner of the Funua Flava Pata Mita promotion, organized by Coca-Cola.

The event took place at Coastal Bottlers in Kanamai, Mtwapa, Kilifi County, where Kindungwa was announced as the sixth winner nationwide and the first in the Coast region to take home the Ksh1 million prize.

The excitement began earlier in the day when a caravan carrying Kidungwa made its way through Mombasa town, stopping at notable locations such as Tudor Coca-Cola depot, Bamburi, and Pyrates Beach, before finally arriving at the Coastal Bottlers grounds for the grand unveiling.

When asked about her plans for the prize money, Kindungwa revealed that she intends to pay fees and settle some pressing family matters.

“I am so glad to be one of the winners. I have been trying several times, winning data bundles. I didn’t know I would win Sh1 million. I can tell Kenyans that this is a true promotion, and they should try their luck.”

Despite winning the substantial prize, Kidungwa expressed her intention to continue participating in the competition to win more in the future.

Coastal Bottlers chief financial controller Virendra Nangori praised the region’s response to Coca-Cola products, urging residents to continue supporting the company by consuming its products.

“We welcome consumers to continue drinking Coca-Cola products because the more you consume, the more chances you have to win prizes.”

Other prizes to be won in the promotion include data bundles.

According to Coastal Bottlers marketing officer Ruth Mwake numerous winners have already received cash and data bundles since the promotion began.

“We have several one million winners still to go, and 100,000, 50,000, and 10,000 who have already won,” she announced during a media interview at the Coastal Bottlers facility.

The Funua Flava Pata Mita promotion, launched on August 15, 2025, aims to reward Coca-Cola drinkers across the country with weekly cash prizes of up to Ksh1 million.

To participate, consumers purchase any 300ml Coca-Cola product, check under the bottle’s yellow cap for a unique code, and SMS the code to 40111 for an instant chance to win.
