Economic Activities Expected to Rise Following the Launch of Samburu-Kinango Road

Residents of Samburi in Kwale County have every reason to smile after the completion of a 58 kilometre Samburu-Kinango road a project that will open up the economy of the county.

The residents thanked the president for the road project.

Speaking to the media in Kwale County on Tuesday, Oscar Kusi A Vigurungani resident said the completion of the infrastructural network a few weeks has contributed positively to the community. 
“For decades Kinango was not recognised because of the poor roads, people faced transport challenges especially during rain seasons. Business has not been thriving because businessmen from other counties such as Mombasa and Taita _Taveta counties found it hard to get to our markets,” said Kusi.

His sentiments were echoed by Mwahanje Mangale Sindi from Donje village saying the construction of the road the number of traffic related accidents has reduced. 
On his part David Mwaka Muema a resident in Vigurungani said there has been an expansion of business after the road was tarmacked.
“Transporting products such as beans, sukuma wiki , breads and soda was quite hard. Currently everything is available in our shopping malls. Noted Muema.
