Shabana Fans Take ‘Tore Bobe’ Spirit To Utange Children’s Home

Shabana Football Club’s nationwide fan community is behind one of the sport’s most active community outreach networks in the country taking its support well beyond the terraces through initiatives aimed at impacting the growth of communities it operates in.

As part of these efforts, the Shabana Kings and Queens 001 Fans branch on Sunday, August 9, 2026, paid a charity visit to Calvary Zion Children’s Home in Utange where they interacted with children and staff, donated items, and shared a moment of song and fellowship.

The fanbase in different parts of the country took part in the day reflecting the wider Shabana FC community’s commitment to initiatives that give back to society.

Calvary Zion Children’s Home, which has supported orphaned and abandoned children since its registration in November 1998, welcomed the fans with performances from the children.

Home representatives gave an overview of the facility’s work before remarks from both sides.

“We are Shabana, but today we are here as parents, brothers and sisters. Tore Bobe is not just about football. It is about lifting each other and giving hope where it is needed most,” said Dinah Mokaya, chairlady, Shabana Kings and Queens 001 Fans.

The fans pledged continued engagement with the home.

Management of Calvary Zion said the doors remain open for future partnerships as the fan group closed the visit in the late afternoon with donations towards the welfare of the children.
