Coca-Cola on Saturday, December 13, 2025 ushered in the festive season in Kenya’s Coastal region with the launch of its 2025 Christmas Caravan reinforcing the company’s long-standing association with holiday cheer while spotlighting acts of kindness and human connection.

The Coastal activation forms part of a nationwide Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan tour that began last month in Nairobi where a Christmas-themed street party marked the official start of the festive campaign.

The Nairobi launch brought together thousands of consumers, local performers, and key stakeholders for an evening of music, dance, and celebration, culminating in the flag-off of the iconic Caravan and the lighting of the Christmas tree at Kenya International Conference Centre (KICC).

Since then, the Caravan has travelled across Nyanza, Rift Valley, Central, Eastern, and Nairobi regions, engaging communities through mall activations, community visits, music, and immersive holiday experiences.

Anchored on Coca-Cola’s global campaign theme, “The World Needs More Santas,” the initiative encourages Kenyans to embrace small but meaningful acts of kindness during the festive season.

Speaking at Pirates beach, Ruth Mwake, market service officer at Coastal Bottlers Limited, said the campaign highlights everyday “Santas” within communities-individuals whose generosity and selflessness embody the true spirit of Christmas.

“This holiday season, we are celebrating the real Santas who walk among us every day,” she said.

The Coastal region leg of the tour was launched at Pirates Beach in Mombasa County and was witnessed by hundreds of residents.

Over the next 10 days, until December 21, the Caravan will traverse malls, markets, and neighbourhoods across the city, transforming everyday holiday bustle into moments of laughter, connection, and joy.

“Through the Caravan and our local engagements, we hope to remind Kenyans that even the smallest act of kindness can create meaningful change,” she added.

On her part, Loyce Odhiambo, public affairs communication and sustainability manager, said: “The festive season invites us to pause, reconnect, and savour heartfelt moments with the people and traditions we value most.”

Some of the residents who enjoyed gifts applauded the campaign that they say has brought sense of belonging.

“I am excited to be part of this joy, I won gift and am joyful, this is a gesture of generosity and as customer we feel valued,” said Jacklin Wayua, a trader at Pirates beach.

Reflecting the warmth and generosity of Kenyan culture, this year’s Caravan offers immersive cultural experiences alongside thoughtful giveaways of locally valued staples and essential goods, including soda, goats, chickens, fish, and chapati flour.

A key highlight of the global campaign is a reimagined version of Coca-Cola’s iconic “Holidays Are Coming” film.

Developed using cutting-edge generative AI in partnership with Silverside AI, the film blends nostalgic elements with modern innovation, featuring familiar Coca-Cola symbols such as the Caravan Tour.

The creative approach underscores the brand’s enduring holiday legacy while embracing new forms of storytelling.

“For decades, Coca-Cola has been a symbol of holiday magic around the world,” said Islam ElDessouky, Global Vice-President of Creative Strategy & Content at Coca-Cola.

“This year, we honour that legacy by combining innovation with human connection, celebrating communities, and reminding everyone that the real magic comes from kindness and togetherness,” he added.

As the festive season gains momentum, Coca-Cola is also inviting Kenyan consumers to participate digitally by sharing their personal “Santa moments” on the brand’s interactive platforms.

From simple gestures to shared laughter, the company aims to amplify stories of goodwill and encourage a nationwide movement of joy, generosity, and togetherness this Christmas.
