Aisha Jumwa quits UDA, citing humiliation and frustration due to her stand to vie for kilifi Gubernatorial seat in 2027.
Addressing journalists at her Kakuyuni home in Malindi, Jumwa said attempt to reach President William Ruto fall on a deaf ear and claimed her plea was rejected insisting she was even chased out of state house when the president was meeting Coast leaders.
She clams such frustrations that were being displayed within the party made her decide to quit.
Juma emotionally spoke as she shed tears stating that despite being one of the founding members of the United democratic Alliance (UDA) currently she is jobless not even that of a sweeper in the current government yet the president insists she should campaign for his re-election promising cabinet position.

Though she never disclosed her next move she said soon she will announce her political direction and indicated tha she will join another political camp without giving any clue of her new camp.
Aisha pleaded with the President not to use his political machinery to harass her but allow her freely exercise her democratic right by choosing her new political outfit.
She adds that the mounting pressure on the zooning plan as orchestrated by the Broad Based leaders stopping UDA not to field any candidate for the Kilifi Governor seat is what has pushed her to leave the party.

She has also asked Kilifi residents to remain calm and that she will still vie for the Governor seat in 2027.
