India Shines at the 12th Mombasa Open Tong-Il Moo-Do International Martial Arts Championship

Raunak Singh, Head Coach and one of the first representatives of Tong-Il Moo-Do from India, is representing Tong-Il Moo-Do India at the 12th Mombasa Open Tong-Il Moo-Do International Martial Arts Championship 2025 in Kenya.

With over four years of international representation, Singh expressed his honour at being part of one of the region’s most prestigious open championships.

The Indian contingent delivered a strong performance on the opening day of the event.

One athlete secured gold in sparring after dominating four consecutive bouts, while another athlete earned a silver medal following three intense fights against competitors from multiple countries.

The championship serves as a vital international platform to demonstrate the global standards of the Tankel Motu International Alliance, highlighting ongoing efforts to develop the sport at a higher competitive level with a long-term vision toward Olympic recognition.

Speaking about the host nation, Singh praised Kenya for its hospitality, stating that the experience has been exceptional.

He highlighted the warmth and respect of the local people, the professionalism and humility of the media, and expressed admiration for the Kenyan national anthem and the country’s distinctive cultural expressions.

Calling the experience memorable, Singh emphasized that such international championships play a crucial role in strengthening global unity through martial arts and elevating the sport worldwide.
