Kilesh Chauhan stole the show at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Corporate Golf Tournament with an impressive 40 points to grab the overall winner at the Nyali County Golf Club in Mombasa on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Playing off a handicap index of 20, the home-club golfer outclassed a field of more than 200 participants in the tightly competitive event.
In the Men’s category, Andrew Miyeso delivered a spirited performance to claim victory with 39 points after a dramatic play-off.
Local favourite Dr Kibet Kikwai settled for second place with 37 points while Dinesh Sasan playing off handicap 14 also returned 37 points to secure third position on countback.
The Ladies’ category was dominated by Millicent Palo, who posted 39 points to secure a well-deserved win.

Among KPA staff participants, Michael Sangoro topped the leaderboard with 37 points followed by Charles Odoo and Paul Koech in second and third place respectively.
This was the second tournament in the KPA Corporate Golf series, following the Nairobi circuit event held earlier this year at Muthaiga Golf Club.
The well-attended competition is part of the authority’s broader stakeholder engagement programme aimed at strengthening partnerships and enhancing trade facilitation.
The event drew key industry players from the trade and logistics sectors.
Speaking during the prize-giving ceremony, KPA managing director Captain William Ruto underscored the tournament’s importance in fostering collaboration and building strategic relationships.
In remarks delivered on his behalf by the Ferry Operations manager Paul Koech, the MD noted that KPA was embracing a more customer-centred approach to strengthen regional trade.

“The golf tournament is not just a sporting event; it is a strategic platform for dialogue and partnership,” he said.
The MD added that the Port of Mombasa continued to post strong performance results, attributing the success to productive engagement and cooperation with stakeholders across the logistics chain.
