More than 500 delegates from Eastern and Southern Africa converge in Mombasa for a two day transport conference which commenced on Wednesday.
The 16th Intermodal Africa Conference and exhibition brought together harbor masters, port engineers, delegates in the operations, finance, and procurement, shippers, cargo owners, importers/exporters, shipping lines, freight forwarders, ports and terminal operating companies among others.
The conference hosted by Kenya Ports Authority at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa will address topical issues and challenges in the global transport and logistics sector, according to organizers.
Those expected to attend include Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing & Urban Development, James Macharia, Mombasa Governor, Hon. Hassan Joho and Kenya Ports Authority ,Managing Director, Catherine Mturi-Wairi.
